Controlling H2S in Wastewater Treatment Works

Optimising odour control chemical dosing to tackle elevated H2S levels in a wastewater treatment works.

In this case study, a wastewater treatment works had issues with odour, and as such started dosing a nitrate based odour control chemical upstream of the inlet.

By installing a s::can spectro::lyser, the treatment works could monitor sulphide levels coming into the works and the baseline nitrate levels, this preventing odour issues, minimising the potenital of acid corrosion on concrete structures and optimising chemical dosing.

s::can’s solution gives us a tool to efficiently dose odour control chemicals, reducing risks and lowering our costs.
