Monitoring of drinking water sources for contaminants requires an advanced event detection system based on UV-Vis spectroscopy and not just parameters.

Pollution into groundwater can take many forms and by using event detection software, a flexible and intelligent system can provide the protection that is required.

In this case study, an s::can spectro::lyser was installed at a location where multiple groundwater sources were blended and the ana::tool event detection software was utilised to monitor for potential contaminants in any of the sources including carbendazim and benzene. The optical sensor also provided TOC, UV254 and nitrate monitoring and was paired with a conductivity sensor, the condu::lyser.

We were impressed by the performance of s::can’s spectro::lyser. The event detection system has proven to be a key asset in our operations.
